My boyfriend says he wanted a break for a while, but he's been calling as often as he has been. I guess sometimes breaks means not calling each other on the phone for a few days. He always calls me everyday. Could this mean he misses me? I tell him how much I miss him. Has this happened to anyone else?

he is keeping in touch in case he doesn't find some one better than you, ask him if it is all right if you do a bit of comparing as well. I can just imagine his reaction,
