I just had a couple beers and I'm wondering if it's safe to take my sleeping pills?

No it is not safe. Alcohol is a depressant as well as sleeping pills whether the are prescription pills or over the counter pills such as Simply Sleep is. Too many depressants in your system at one time can cause respiratory problems...you could stop breathing, your heart could be affected and you could actually induce yourself into a coma because you could fall into too deep of a sleep. I would defiantly advise against combining a few beers and sleeping pills. It could have very adverse effects. If you truly can't sleep try some warm milk or tea before you mix alcohol and OTC (over the counter) sleeping pills. The warm tea or milk may be enough to relax you and let you have a good nights sleep. Good Luck...as a last resort you could count sheep! Insomnia sucks so I hope you can count some ZZZZ's tonight!

Check the bottle or box, whatever your pills came in. I don't really recommend using medication after using alcohol, but maybe you can. I advise that you don't for at least 2-4 hours.

I took an ambien after one mixed drink and I won't ever do that again, I fell and ripped open my back in the middle of the night as I was getting up to use the bathroom. I would not suggest it.
