Its 100% legal to install , and run. Lots of content on it is illegal but everyone does it. Probably every single song , movie (I mean real movie like Rocky for example) is illegal and lots of other stuff. There is child porn on lime wire. And there is lots of none illegal stuff too.

There is a difference between downloaded a copyrighted song then child porn of course but technically they are both bad to do except I download lots of illegal stuff of the net. Not child porn though.

NOTE: One thing for sure. Do not download from limewire unless you have a uptodate anti virus program and more preferably a good one like Norton or mcaffe. There is lots of Worms and viruses on limewire its normal not a big deal if you have an anti virus program and know what your doing.

Yes, in essence it is. You are massively sharing music/vids and etc, that are not paid for.

It is illegal, but people have found Limewire, and some other famous ones, easy to use.

limewire is not illegal.. downloading copywrited content from any source is illegal. limewire is just a site. it is what people do with the downloads that is illegal.

Limewire is not in itself illegal, it is whayt you do with it that is illegal. It wouldn't be illegal if you downloaded limewire pro.

Limewire is just a program, perfectly legal. Using it to download things which dont have the copright or license to download is, however, illgal.

It doesn't appear to me. However, it does seem a little scary to me. I believe in security and to do a p2p xfer through a third party is not what I'd call secure.
