NO.
God put his Son (only begotten, meaning his only creation). His son, then created the rest of creation for HIM, that is why he is called the Master Architect. Also, it is why, it says, in Genesis 1:26 "and God says, Let us make Man in OUR IMAGE" because his son, his only creation was helping him. Therefore, there existed before creation, only 3 things, Jehovah God, Jesus Christ (in his Heavenly pre-existence) and the Holy Spirit (which God brought forth at the same time he made himself). So, there was no Trinity.
God and the Holy Spirit were created at the same time BY GOD. Then God created his son, and his son created everything else. So, when his son died on the Cross, the ONLY THING HE CREATED was destroyed for US. What a great sacrifice that was!
Yes, I totally agree that the way most Christians believe makes it look totally unbelievable. After all, how can 3 equal beings sacrifice one and it mean anything? Its only through an equal propitiatory sacrifice that anything can be saved.
BTW it sure beats Islam!

With faith you can understand anything you like.
Even the greatest nonsese possible, like if you had a village idiots convention rounding up every village idiot on earth and scribbling down all their non-sence in one contiguous stream of dribble, well with faith it will all sound rather fab and factual.
Faith is short hand for-i agree to form a mental loop in my head that tells me that all silly things from a particular sorce are all perfectly normal facts.

Nope- God didn't put anyone on the cross. Only sinful mongers did. And Christ is the son of God who said "Father Why have you forsaken me" and "My father is greater than I" he is a representative of God. It is a misinterpretation to make him God. go to gospleofthenazirens. for the original New Testament before King Constantine changed everything.

It is possible yes, since the father, son, and holy spirit are all one.
It also raises the point, that was it a pointless and meaningless event, since they're all the same, and God is omnipotent and omnisentient.

actually god put his only begotten son on the cross . the son was no one but the word of life that was breathed unto mankind , the word of god tha became flesh, full of grace and truth ,lived among us . we saw his glory , the glory which he received as the father's only son . god gave the law through moses , but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ . the only son , who is the same as god and is at the father's side , he has made him known .

No! Sin put Jesu on the cross, and it was our sin that held him there, and his love, and not three nails.
