In the tradition of our Tennessee homeland, we will eat blackeyed peas with jowl and a big pot of greens (collard, turnip, and kale), There will be a skillet of crusty cornbread too. we were going to have barbeque chicken(my fav!), but my mom and i were gone so she couldnt cook so we went home and had pizza!:(
