Does anyone know when taxes can be claimed for 2006

The IRS will not accept e-filed returns until about January 15. You can mail your return sooner, but of course that won't get you a refund sooner than if you had e-filed on January 15.

Do you mean File taxes? Usually it's late January by the time you get all your w-2's and 1099's. If you mean the deadline for deductions,they must be paid in 2006 so they can be claimed on 2006 taxes.
