I believe in the early stages physical attributes and appearance matter some what. That is to say if you find some one unattractive you may not give them the same chance you would a ''beautiful'' person. I have to wonder how many perfect couples will never be because they weren't at first physically attracted to each other!

What kind of a relationship are you wanting? If it is a long term, life time relationship, then internal qualities of the heart are far better than outward appearances. Why, because outward appearance can change at anytime due to accidents such a car wreck or fire causing permanent scars or being paralyzed. Outward appearances will definitely change due to old age. By the way, most surveys will show that most women want security while most men want sex.

For some people, what really matters is what is inside of you not outside. But for me, physical attributes and appearance matter. Although, what is inside is more important.
Note: It is wrong to love someone just for their money.

Do I have to look at them? Then yes, appearance matters. But thank God, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone has different taste. I have DJ'd hundreds of wedding, it doesn't matter if you are old or young, fat or thin, mean or sweet, people find each other. And the attraction starts with the eye and travels to the heart.

It used to to me,but now if I were single I would look more into a person.I have learned that looks change, people can gain weight,be in an accident that disfigures them are you going to quit loving that person because something has changed? No!It is the same difference as just meeting someone, people need to look more at each other and get to know that person;a persons personality and heart is what really matters.

to a certain point I think it depends on each indavidual and if they have had enough crap to realize that there is more to it then that if you ever expect to find happiness on all or most levels of a relationship, I think there needs to be atleast where your both kinda equal to eachother looks wise not always but in most cases because when people tend to fight that might kinda get thrown around like i'm better than you or surely can do better than you looks wise which doesnt make sense since that doesnt mean at all there good people but it happens anyways I mean you cant think there ugly in your mind how would that work the attraction on physical and inside wise is what drives you to them, whatever good luck KIM

Beauity is in the eye of the beholder.
If your 450 pounds and meet someone that is 450 pounds then it could be a match. Same way if you have 60 tattos you wont think it's all that weird if you meet someone with 100 tatoos. It just all depends on where YOUR starting from.

I care more about how a person is on the inside more than anything, however, that's not to say that I don't look for someone who is also appealing to the eye along with a good soul. I just don't place very much emphasis on looks when it comes to finding a potential relationship with someone.

it depends on whether we know each other or not. when i look at guys the first thing i see is their appearance and physical attributes. then if i like that then i will pursue them further. if i like the way they speak to me and their first impression i will agree to date them. but that is only if i am attempting to go after someone or someone comes after me and i don't know them. but if i already know that person and i like them because we have been friend for a while then i won't care what they look like. i just want someone to care about me and treat me with respect.

Yes. There had to have been some sort of physical attraction in the first place. It's not like we go around saying "oh, he 'looks' like he has a great personality". First we look and then we get to know someone. You really should be attracted to your mate in order to keep things hot in the bedroom.
