My friend is 5'7 and she weighs 180 pounds. She thinks she's fat but she doesnt really look it. Does it sound fat to you? What should I tell her?

No she doesnt sound fat at all, she should check the weight chart for her height and weight to figure out a healthy size but she also needs to be comfortable with herself.

I'd say slightly over weight if anything. Some people are able to carry their weight well. I would love to be down to 180 and I'm 5'7". She could afford to lose maybe 20 pounds at the most. I wouldn't tell her she's fat. Just a bit over weight if she insists on your input.

Good Luck.

Depends on distribution of fat and density. I've known people who I wouldn't have believed they weighed 180+ lbs. They had a lot of muscle which is heavier than fat. Then I've know people who don't weigh near 180 and they would be thought of as chunky.

People need to stop being obsessed with being skinny. Skinny is not healty believe me there are more comlications being skinny than being over weight. To me women are too damn skinny now of days, and I blame the media . Woman where meant to have more body fat to carry a child. People forget about bone structure if she has tiny small bones then yes she is a little over weight, but if she is big boned then she is fine where she is. the thicker the bones are the more weight you will have with out everything else. Jeez when will these woman just stop trying to please men by being skinny . Ilove woman who don't care about there weight, but being 5 foot 7 and weighing 300 pounds is nasty lol.

It's chunky
Some people carry it better, but it's still fat. At 180 lbs and not be fat she would have to be around 6'3" or more.
Models are way too skinny though (nasty skinny). A good weight is in between.

I am also 5'7 and weigh 180lbs. I am a man and i would say slightly overweight. But definitely not fat. And it really depends on how she carries the weight.

O No No No, that is not fat at all. Personally I am 5'1 and weigh 140 and I am not fat. Maybe you should take her to a jym or somthing and workout. Then compliment on how her body looks.... Try to boost her self-esteem

she's over weight she should weigh no more then 150 pounds Tell her if she doesn't feel good about the weight she's at then do what you feel is right for you if you want to lose weight and feel better I'm behind you 100% or if you want to stay the way you are I'm behind you 100% too.

It depends on a lot of things. What's her bone structure? Is she small boned? Medium framed? Large framed? Is her body muscular? Only you can decide for yourself what you think. Whatever you feel, be kind in what you state to her, and do what you can to help her with her self-esteem. It sounds like she could use a boost there, and it sounds like you care enough about her to be able to do it!
