Yes, if they just quit doing the meth and after a night or two of sleep they can get back almost all of their sanity.

wow-- this is a tough one.... the long term effects are going to last but like the guy above said, getting back on the straight and narrow will help for the short term. I would suggest the following steps:
*New friends with no meth connections
*High nutrition diet-- preferrably with a surplus of fresh, organic, raw, ripe fruits and vegetables and a big decrease in junky foods and transfats and processed sugars
*Reconnection with the God of your childhood-- the God who you wondered about and wanted to have in your life
*A good counselor-- if you can't afford the best guy in town, I would like to suggest that you check out Emotional Freedom Technique, an energy therapy that will help you to knock out all those negative emotions that led to the Meth addiction and keep it going even when you want to quit (called 'psychological reversal'). You can download the free "Get Started Package" at http://tinyurl.com/yh5zhu, or if you want to dive in right away by purchasing the inexpensive instructional DVDs go to http://tinyurl.com/ycwle8
Happy New Year--

if the psychosis lasts even after a week of not using, chances are it will never go away alone. You will need medications from a psychiatrist. Abilify works well. but everyone is different so talk to your doctor
