where can i let off fireworks and not get busted? i live in newport beach CA?

i thought about the beach but thats no good. i have ones that go up in the air and bang

When I lived in California, people would just light them in their backyard...but I guess that wouldn't really work well with these type of fireworks...I remember people were lighting them in this um, one forest area thingy..but thats pretty dangerous with causing a fire...
