You can always look for online message boards and chat rooms, some are geared around depression and other health issues. I would also advise seeing a doctor. I know you said you already tried that, but if your doctor couldn't help, find a new doctor. Your first doctor may have missed something. Many doctors will actually help you through depression issues instead of just writing you a prescription for anti-depressants. Also, many times depression is directly linked to your diet. Foods such as sugar, corn, wheat, yeast and mold can trigger depression symptoms as well as a lack of exercise or sunshine.

Keep looking and definitely do not settle for living the rest of your life depressed. There is way more in life waiting on your, sometimes people just need a little direction and help.

A website I use is www.yeastconnection.com

Please stay away from CashCreate, Treasure Trooper and other survey Web sites.

It is a waste of time and will cause you unhappiness.

If you choose to be suckered in and sign up to take surveys and receive, free trials considered you were warned. The minute you give them your credit card and personal information you have now opened your computer to unwanted cookies on your hard drive, annoying pop-up windows and if you are on a PC you open your computer to viruses that can wipe you out.

A lot of work to collect the "reward payments" that payout is not worth the effort over time. You will need to sign up for many types of offers, most of which require you to use a credit card. You start a week trial service with varies types of businesses or services, such as, an Internet service provider, book club, credit monitoring service, etc. to get your reward. If you don't cancel the trial, you end up being charged for the service and each service has different rules about how and when you can cancel. Very cumbersome!

Since you will need to sign up for at least a dozen offers before you get to $100 in rewards, it's very easy to forget what you have signed up for, or the problems you will have canceling in time to to be charged the full amount. The Cash Create recruiters you see here over exaggerate how much money you can earn because once you've done the high-dollar trials ($8-10 each), you are left with small rewards of a dollar or two. The survey business is not an efficient way to make money and you are more than likely to loose money in the end.

Pray honey. For Heaven's sake, don't go hooking up with guys until you feel better. They don't have anything to offer at the moment. You are young and vulnerable. Learn to love yourself. You say the doc didn't help- why? You are going thru a bad time, but know this won't last forever. Weeping may endure for the night, but joy will come in the morning. I suffer from depression- fortunately I found peace by learning about God and His Son. Did you know He loves you so much he gave the life of His only Son so we could live in peace and abundance? It's true. Just knowing someone loves me that much helps me make it through to the next minute. You are never alone. You are loved and You do matter. Prayer is nothing more than talking to God- it is the most amazing thing you will ever experience when you hear His answers. God bless. Love you!

There are things to do and not do. Do NOT start drinking and I would recommend against trying to find love right now. You need people to lean on or talk to, first off. To fall for someone when you are depressed can lead to a very unhealthy balance in a relationship. Find something you can channel your attention to. For me it was poetry. Get outside, that's a good thing to do. Do NOT sit inside with the curtains drawn and the lights out. You need sunlight. Call someone. Whether it's a friend or your mom or a psychiatrist or just a stranger at a mental health 800#, talk to them. If you are thinking about hurting yourself, call 911. You sound severely depressed and are most likely in need of medication to help balance you out. This is nothing to be ashamed of. Depression or mental illness is all too common and no different than many other diseases, and should be treated as such, it just carries the stigma of being crazy, which you are NOT. Be wise, and good luck my friend.

We are entering a new year. Start doing all the things you stopped doing. First, and foremost, get up and get outside and start to move. Any type of physical activity will perk you up. If you say you are depressed, then you'll be depressed. Start counting your blessings, and don't say that you don't have any because you are able to coherently key on the computer, so you have your intellect, a computer, you are well enough to sit up, so move off that spot and go take a shower, put on your cutest outfit, do your hair and put on a happy face and do some chores or something for somebody else. Good luck and Happy New Year. Ask the Lord to move you out of this pit you are in at the moment.

yea I have that problem to and always have I'm not really sure of the answer but I do know if you dont do something really anything it will get worse and affect your whole life, guys do always seem to make it worse dont they I think it because for one when your depressed and dont think that much of yourself and that affects the guys that you do choose, I think it involved knowing that if you dont get it back together work and a place and all that stuff you'll never meet anyone decent whos headed in the same direction or atleast that will also be interested in you in there life they are not gonna do all the hard work and get a monkey on there back some do but they have weird querks to, maybe medication is the answer to aiding you in getting back on track it doesnt do the work for you but possibly get you in the mood to do it, also I dont recommend getting into any type of self medication like drugs ah yea I did that and let me tell ya you think you got problems when you start its like 10 times more depressing after just incase that was you, good Luck Kim

You need to see a professional, and get back in school. Hooking up with guys is never the answer. You did not say if anything specific caused the depression. Please seek counseling and try and get on with your life. Your education is very important. Good luck to you. You ARE woth it!!
