Just wondering at what time during the school year is the best time to ask a girl to the prom. I want it to be early, but not so early that it feels awkward, so any help would be welcome.

At least a month before so she will have lots of time to shop for the perfect dress and shoes. Takes time to do that you know

When she's not around her friends... but make it personalized and special that she will be like "wow he's so sweet" and then hopefully she'll say yes...

I'd say about a month before. You need time to plan how your getting there, where you're eating, ext. ext.
