Or is it the same as faculty dating a student? My sister says I shouldn't date women younger than her (she is 26). I'm interested in them, not their age! I don't have kids or money so I have more in common with someone younger, only with a little more life experience. So what's the big deal. I'm not looking for sex, I'm looking for friendship, and a friend with benefits wouldn't be so bad either!

As long as the students you are thinking about dating are over the age of 18, there is nothing wrong with it. Personally being a 30 something myself, I would not date anyone more than 10 years younger than myself. Even 10 years is pushing it though, it would have to be a very mature person for their age. But like you already referenced to, it is more about how a person acts than their age. There are some very mature people in their early 20's, and some very immature people that are over 30.
Basically what I am trying to say in my long winded answer is that as long as the woman you are interested is over 18, is interested in you, and you two have something in common, than there is no reason not to date.

Be honest with yourself, even if you choose to be dishonest on yahoo answers. The truth of the matter is the pool of single childless women that are (to coin your phrase) 30 something is very small. The pool of single childless women who will put up with your **** is even smaller.

You seek someone younger because you feel you can manipulate her. Any fool that would actually believe the line "I'm not looking for sex, I'm looking for friendship" is obviously a 20 something idiot. This is not to say all 20 somethings are idiots but the pool of 20 something idiots is larger than 30 somethings. Here's a question for you: Why would a 20 something want someone who is 30 something. If you're one of those idiots who think women are soley attracted to money then theoretically she can find a 20 something with money.
Many men loose their attractiveness after 30.

Friends with benefits is good. Just so you can be friends in there and out here.
