You can do it but why if only 1 sperm fertilises the egg?

Your question raises many other ones. I am not a reproduction genetist but I feel that it could certainly be done. I'm curious if the seminal fluids inside sperm A would be compatable with those of sperm B, and if so, would each strand of DNA have the same chance to pass on it's chromosones. What about the occurence of congenital defects that require a gene from both female and male ? Wouldn't that double the odds that such defects would occur ? Thank you for such a thought provoking question. I find some of the answers I saw to childish, some lecherous I'm sure.

What would be the purpose of this ? If you're talking about having had sex with 2 guys in a row, then yeah it's possible. If you're talking about mixing the sperm in the DNA and having a kid that would show genetics from 2 guys, the answer would be no. I suppose it's even possible, should you have dropped 2 eggs, to have twins from 2 different guys at the same time! Wow the possibilities are near limitless!

Technically yes. If during her ovulation she released two eggs and the sexual act occurred in rapid succession, then she could become pregnant with fraternal twins.
Also - you could have 'polar body twins', which are twins that are formed through a very unusual process involving an egg having a piece that separates and can be impregnated by two different sperm. This would result in twins that are, for want of a better term, half identical. This is not an entirely accurate description, but it's the best word to describe it.
The second option is unlikely to the point of being technically impossible. I imagine the first could happen.

The 'sperms' are the little swimming things you see in a microscope... The fluid they are transported in when a man ejaculates can be mixed with that of another man... so I think that is a 'yes' to your question. Only one sperm will fertilize an egg... so no way to tell or predict who it was from with sperm from both males being present.

I think that she is asking if two sperm cells and no egg cell can create a zygote to form a baby. This is the kind of question which just proves that a higher level of scientific understanding should be required in the education system for a person to graduate from high school. This is elementary my dear.

Only ONE sperm can fertilize an egg, So if you get the sperm from many guys all mixed together..only ONE would combine with your egg.
(As soon as the sperm enters the egg, it toughens the eggs wall, preventing other sperms from entering)

There appears to be a consensus, and I agree with the majority. Only one sperm will fertilize the egg, no matter how many men's swimmers are competing. Although, it is interesting to consider how you might pick the "best of" traits from several different men to create a perfect child! ;)

You mean take two different mens ejaculate and turn it into one super sperm? I don't think so, because then instead of using donor sperm for artificial insemination, they would use some of the husbands sperm so the baby would be his as well...

of course you can do that. Many gay couples that are using a surrogate will mix the sperm of both the men in the relationship in order to not have to decide whos genes to use. You could even mix the two semen samples together and spin it in a centrifuge in order to separate both X and Y chromosomes in order to determine the sex of the child, but both of these procedures should be done at a bona-fide womens clinic.
