this guy who is a lot younger than me keeps calling and texting me. and he does it non-stop. i really want him to leave me alone but i don't know how to tell him that without hurting his feelings. and he is my best friend's friend so that makes it harder. so if you have any ideas let me know. thanks

You can't. There is no way of telling someone who's into you that you're not into them without hurting them. But you can at least let him down easy and spare him further pain. He deserves to know the truth. Just tell him you think he's an amazing guy & that you really cherish his friendship but that because of the age difference you really couldn't date him. Using age as an excuse would be less painful than saying "I don't find you attractive" etc.

Just simply tell him that you really enjoy his friendship and you hope he feels the same. And don't answer all of the text mess. or phone calls. Just now and then. Don't even let on that you think that he might like you a little more than that. I think that if you are not always there to answer either one he might back off, If he doesn't' then tell him that you don't want to sound mean but that you do have a life other than just talking to him and that he needs to back off just a little.

Tell him you're not interested in dating right now.. and if you are.. tell him that you just want to stay friends.. that you guys can hang out maybe.. sometime but that you're not interested in dating him.. do it in a real nice way.. just tell him he seems like a really nice sweet guy but that you're not into dating him... Simple as that...
Ask for God's words and strengths when you tell him and that you will just become friends instead of something more.. and that He will bring the right man into your life.. b/c he can and will!

It is better to shut this down early on, otherwise he may continue to think there's a chance when there is not. I've said before, "You're a nice person, but I don't feel the chemistry with you." I realize that is completely cliched, but it seems to have worked. Don't leave any wiggle room, like, "I hope we can be friends" because that may send a message that there's a chance. Be clear and concise - maybe even write it down before you say it.

I truly would tell him look sorry Imnot interested in you honestly I rather tell you the truth than lead you on or hurt you in a way of you thinking that Im avoiding you cause by you doing that to him you will also find your self on day in the same postion because of what you did you him... but good luck girl keep it real..

The next time he calls/texts you, tell him nicely in a polite and sincere manner that you would like to be left alone. It's up to you how you would want to put it in words. But just tell him the truth and tell him how his actions are affecting you in a bad and annoying manner. Either he leaves you alone completely, or the annoyance decreases.

Why don't you just ask him to keep messages to maybe once a day or something? Tell him that you're really too busy to be texting all day or always on the phone. Would it kill you to be his friend? Does he do the same to your best friend?

Try being straight with him. Be honest. The longer you wait, the more difficult it becomes. Tell him you don't want to hurt his feelings, but you aren't interested. Just like that.

well, sorry, but if this guy really likes you, i kind of doubt that there is a way of telling him your not intereseted in him. sorry, but that is the truth. however, possibly to ease the pain, you could tell him you two can be friends, just no more than that. he may or may not go for that. it depends what kind of guy he is. sorry for not really solving your problem.
