Been there, your body might have reached the highest possible theraputic level for your cocktail. When that happened to me on fentanyl, my pain mgmt doc switched me to avinza instead of fentanyl. They can do another muscle relaxant too to force your body to respond to a new medicine treatment plan.

Good luck!

Fentanyl is a fairly strong pain medication.... I would not even be able to lift my hand or open my eyes on the strongest dose, and Im a big guy. Pain clinics are a good choice, as well as seeing a psychologist that specializes in pain... they can teach you some strategies to help with the pain.

This medicine is used to decrease pain.
Skin patch is used for long-term pain that needs continuous medicine delivery. Lollipop (Actiq®) is used for cancer pain that comes through the usual pain medicine.
How does it work?
Fentanyl binds to brain receptors, relieving pain. The feeling of pain and a person's response to pain are also decreased.

That is a lot of medication. Does it help at all? Numb it, take the edge off, anything? Have you been to a pain clinic? If you have chronic pain, I'm sure you have tried almost everything.

you are on a very strong opiate. Quite possibly you have developed a tolerance for this class of painkillers. Try some other types of pain killers not in the opiate family. If you choose to stay with opiates, perhaps you may like methadone for pain management. Please, make sure you realize that these drugs are very addictive and you will become depenant upon them! good luck, and there is no need to suffer...
