Is it offensive to leave Xmas Presents out for a few days?

My girlfriend finds it offensive if I leave out gifts and not put them away. She thinks that it makes them insignificant, thinking I am not considerate and that they won't be used.

We always do this. We leave them under the tree unless the kids want to play with them immeaditely. Tell her it is showing off what you got, not that you don't like them.
