I was in Indonesia for five months to spend time with my fiance: to meet her family, understand her culture, and to help her with the business. Then I went home to spend the holidays with my parents. The agreement was that she would follow in December so that she could see my country. Unfortunately, this never happened. She was offered a contract job abroad, but promised to return in 6 months. According to her, the business was slow and she needs to save up money for our marriage. What do you think?

You have to think what is more important: your marriage or her comming to your country?
Money needs to be safed so just think about your priorities. It's not a bad sign. She's just saving up.

Well I am one of these people that always fears the worst so I would say it sounds iffy, but then I don't know you both and it could well be genuine.

I think the best way to go into this is with an open mind. Try not to upset yourself and fear the worst but then don't be too laid back either as if things do go wrong it would not be easy to deal with.

Straight down the line 50/50 with your thoughts is all you can do at the moment I would say.

You met her family. That is a big deal in Asia. Trust her.
Asian culture if practice by her family means she has
to spend some of her money for her marriage. Asians usually
do not express a problem that can be solved by them.
In fact, you will not hear them saying "I love u" everyday.
Such actions imply distrust. Virginity till marriage is still
a common practice too.

If the quality of contact with her is minimal I would say that that is a bad sign. If she wanted to get married I'd expect her to contact you regularly.
I wonder if a family member may have affected her behaviour?
Believe it or not, some folks don't like people from different cultures.
Good luck, anyway!

she is probably being honest with you, but you really do need to tell her that your marriage is more important than her job over seas.
she can find a new job closer to you.
tell her if she does not come back to you in 6 months, then the wedding is off.

She sounds like a responsible person. Is there some reason you should doubt her? Or is your self esteem so low that you can't believe her? You'd better deal with the lack of trust before you say "I DO"!

From an outsider, it doesn't look promising, but without really knowing you both, this is a hard question to answer.

You've simply been added to the list of "Not bad, made a few there" people who never learn. Sorry, but there it is - YOU asked the question!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
