Wow! A lot of people are judgemental of females with tattoos. A LOT of women get them and love them, but that does not mean she wants to show them in her wedding dress. The best part is, you can have your tattoos and love them, and cover them any time you want. There are a lot of companies who make different types of makeup for just this reason, and some that make the latex that is like fake skin to be applied over them (probably less likely to get on your dress in the long run). :)

Simple: Invest in concealer. Find a thick, yellow-based medical concealer (companies such as Covermark and Dermablend make heavy coverage makeup used for covering scars). Ideally, you should purchase this makeup product in three different tones: The first should be a perfect match for your skin tone; the second should be one tone lighter; the third, two tones lighter. Apply your concealer from the lightest shade to the darkest: Using a concealer brush, begin by applying the lightest makeup shade over the tattoo to form a base. The trick is to keep the makeup on the tattoo -- don't spread it on the surrounding skin. Both a stiff brush and a fairly thick concealer will help here. Next, layer on the middle shade and blend it in. Then gently blend the makeup closest to your skin tone over the top and, using a puff, set with matching powder. Voila! You're tattoo-free -- and picture perfect.

it depends on the location of the tattoo but i guess since a key factor is that it is a halter im guessing the upper chest area which you might want to get a shawl or something of if its on the side and a bit if covered by the dress you could get a corsage to cover it

Dermablend is a foundation/coverup sold at department stores. They can match a small bottle to your exact skin tone. Apply with a make up sponge and then use a blow dryer to "set". It will cover up the tattoo and the make up will not smear or rub off throughout your day. It's pretty amazing!!

First, find and face the person who told you not to get the tattoos because you'd regret them one day.
Second, they're part of who you are, and you chose to have them permanently on your body, so why not display them?
Third, you could always pretend to have an injury right where the tattoos are and put a big bandage there.

I agree with tooshort
Dermablend works extremely well, it is water proof as well as sweat proof and trust me any other cover up or foundation, will get all over your dress, this is stuff that ppl with scares or even burns they use it to cover up
