We cooked it on Christmas Day, cut meat off bird, and placed it in plastic bags, and kept it in the fridge. How long is considered safe to eat it, and/or how do I know if it is not edible.

I will usually keep if up to a week then its gone.

I'm not sure how many days, but cooked meat and deli meat start to smell kind of sour when they're going bad, so take a good whiff to see how it smells before you eat it. I've had turkey in the fridge for a while before it goes bad.

I would say that if it is still in your fridge on July 4th it would not be very good.

keep it in the freezer and it can last a year, im serious, the turkey from my last year thanksgiving lasted a year and we made soup with it and it is still good.

about 2 days i had mine then it started going bad
