it is all in your head. if you believe in bad luck, then you will blame everything bad on the broken mirrors. if you don't believe in bad luck then you will realize that is life. stuff happens.

First ... you wake up and thank God you live in the 21st century where such things as witchcraft, werewolves, vampires and bad luck occurring just because a mirror broke. How old are you? I bet you x out your windshield if a black cat runs across your path. Just think about what you're saying here. You believe that luck, good or bad, has anything to do with whether or not a piece of glass has broken. Do you also throw salt over your shoulder if you spill some? Do you try your best not to step on a crack. Just to teach my son a value able lesson I intentional broke a mirror. That was 2 years ago and I have not received any bad luck. So unless there's a statute of limitations on it I doubt my bad luck will be coming. I also doubt you will pick my answer as the best and I really don't care. All I want you to see and understand is you believe in a silly superstition that even my 9 year old would think is stupid.

Bad luck caused by broken mirrors is bull, but if you're really worried, pour a ring of kosher salt around your house. Supposedly keeps bad energy out. Now, if an owl hoots near your house, then worry.

Take the mirrors out and use the glisty glue to glue the pieces back together. It will look funky.
Then try to change the harmony in your home. Get a book about Fun shengi.

Once the work on the house is finished, have a space clearing done (either by yourself or a friend or professional - find someone who knows about feng shui and space clearing to help you, or just do some googling on the subject!).
Once the house is cleaned of the excess energy and any negative energy, you won't be bothered by "bad luck".

You should worry more about the contractor that broke them.
It is up to him to replace those broken mirrors.
As far as the Bad luck there is no such thing.

Get rid of the broken mirrors by burying the shards. Then make sure you replace them immediately, to reflect prosperity. Then smudge the room by burning a white sage stick.
I'm serious. Do it now, and by all means NEVER look into a broken mirror!

Pray. Pray for a clear understanding of what is superstition and what is not. Nothing bad (or good) comes from a broken mirror except the mirror being damaged itself. God bless!
