I got lice from my kindergarden aged daughter and again one year from a kid in the middle school class I teach. The only way is to use the RID soap as directed. Also, I've found that if you put a plastic shower cap on while the soap is on your hair, it works much better. If you don't get out all the nits (the little white eggs attached to the hair shaft), you will just have another outbreak. Use the soap again after a week even if you think you got all the little critters. Don't trust that dumb little comb they put in the box for the nits, it doesn't work. She will just have to have you or someone else go ALL through her hair and pick out each nit. I used a nail clipper on my daughter and clipped out each hair that had a nit on it and had my hubby do the same for me. Also, wash all bedding and clothing (including coats, hats, etc.) in hot water. Good luck !!!

first go to the drug store and get RID or any one of the products to kill lice ... hair treatment, follow directions carefully.

then it's time to do some serious washing and vaccuuming. all bedding should be washed in hot water, pillows too. vaccuum mattress. also any hats that have been worn ... anything that can come into contact with the head and body should be thoroughly cleaned.

simply go to the pharmacy and they have some really good stuff there that will get rid of lice and they do not condemn you for it because they see it all the time.
