I hauled FEMA trailers from campbellsville ky to fl. there was one time i was coming across the fl turnpike and all i had at the time was 100 dollar bills. the tollattendent told me to get off at the next exit and get change and pay at the nex booth. didn't see no lights at the next exit so i keep going. i done that threw three booths until i hit I-75, keep looking in mail for ticket never got one.but from now on i keep my ash tray full of pocket change and a couple of dollar bills.

Well, on the Bay Bridge, they take down your license plate number and you have to mail in the toll amount...I imagine it's the same for the GG Bridge since they're both run by Caltrans.

You have to work the toll booth until the next person who can't pay shows up. Then THEY have to. That's how they staff toll booths. That's also why you never see help wanted ads in the classifieds for toll booth operators. That's also why you never see the same toll booth operator twice.

My wife and I went through the GGB on our motorcycles last year. We didn't have enough money to pay the toll so she said to just drive on through and the photo system would register our plates and send us notices.
We never got them though. Probably because we live in Colorado.

They take down your name, telephone number, address, and license plate number, and they will give you an envelope with an address on it that you will have to send a money order too. If you don't send the money order, they will send you like 130.00 ticket. Usually the money order is like 5.00.

I have heard they take your information and you must mail it in. I do not know if this is true or not.
