It's quite simple, but probably varies from provider to provider. For my phone I dial *60 on my land line. At the signal I dial the number of my cell. When my cell rings I know the phone has been transferred and I can hang up. Check with your service provider to be sure.

The way to do this varies in different service providers. Call your phone company and ask or look in the first few pages of your phone directory, they often print important info like that in it. Call forwarding is a subscription service that you have to pay for.
