How did religion start? And what was the first religion? How long ago did it start? Who started it? Is it just somthing somone made up? When people think of god why do they look up to the ski?

Religion started because people- whoever, whenever, in whatever circumstance- cannot deny in their deepest heart that there is a God. whether they believe in Jesus Christ, Alla, or one of the 300 million Hindu gods, most people acknowledge a higher power. they just dont kno the true one. And its my job, as a Christians, to share about the one true God.
the first religion was probably Judaism.
well, technically Moses started it when God gave him all the rules. but Adam and Noah and Abraham all believed in that God.
I dont think religion is something made up. i KNOW that God is really really real.

Many of the ancient gods lived in the sky (the sun, moon, etc); gods later lived on mount Olympus; it's obviously some place you can't reach, and some place from where the gods can look down at everybody. So... the sky.

Religion was invented to introduce a mechanism where none was observable. For instance, the belief that a higher created the Earth came from man's inability to imagine how it might have come about any other way. Likewise, disease was viewed as punishment by God because nobody could explain it otherwise (the discovery of bacteria is fairly recent in terms of human history).
Religion or, more accurately, the belief ina higher power is a manmade method of explaining the unexplainable.

Religion come from God, because the infinite wishing human being believe in. In general God teach Religion to someone which have selected of. First religion is created by first human being God. This Religion Is started by the first human that selecting by God. Religion not made in human being, human being arranged by religion, even how to understand of their self are informed by religion. Human being will think of God x'self moment and also deity feel there is something that more than human being, and realize that human being is limited in its ability, after human being realize there is something that have a power above (more than) human being, he will look for him and if can find he will mention deity or God. Why, caused by something tangible there is and that non human being masterpiece. Example [Of] : Moment Disaster of Tsunami, hundreds of thousand people die, there is a child still be safe, Why can ?

religion was there from the beginning when God mad Adam and Eve who believed that there is only one God,,hundreds of years later the human been start making up gods from rocks and stuff like that,then God send his first messenger ...and it kept going.
people look up to the sky (not all of them) cz the God Throne in on the sky ,

in the beginning it wasnt really religion just a part of life, like eating or drinking. it didnt become religion until people made up a bunch of alternatives that best suited them.

religion started with prehistoric humans. and im guessing people look at the sky when they think of god because the sky brings a whole lot of mystery.
