yes, but I don't think it stays in but for a few days. It also makes your hair sticky. Just buy a quick rinse if you want to change your hair color for a week or so. You can get a cheap one at Sally's Beauty.

Yes, kool-aid will stain your hair rather then dye it. Although its not a chemical dye. I don't think it will just rinse out.

Kool-Aid's high concentration of food coloring and its low retail cost (US$0.25 a packet as of 2006) has led some to use Kool-Aid to dye fabric and hair.[citation needed] Using a packet of kool-aid, a spoonful of corn starch, and a small amount of water, a paste can be made and applied to the hair. Kurt Cobain, of the band Nirvana, had his hair dyed with red Kool-Aid before a performance on Saturday Night Live. Pink admitted to using Kool-Aid to dye her hair for her first concert.[citation needed] It should be noted, though, that Kool-Aid is a permanent hair dye, and is very difficult (some say impossible) to remove even with bleach.

If your hair is really light...it can last even longer than 2 weeks. If you have darker hair it will last about 2 weeks because the color will not stay very vibrant. Lots of the old school "punk rockers" of my day used kool-aid alot. There are some people in prison who use kool-aid for colored ink in their tattoos. Mostly because it is cheap and ink is usually considered as contraband.

It can tint very blond hair, but other than that, it really does not work as well as people claim. Try egg whites and some kind of dye (kool aid can work here), as that works on blondes as well.

kool-aid isn`t meant for the hair, so it takes a lot longer to come out. i know someone who dyed it blue for crazy hair day at his school and it took a while to get it out.

I think it works. Because I heard that Nicole Kidman washes her hair with Cranberry juice to maintain her strawberry blonde color

Yes, I don't know how long but you can dye your hair with it. Some people do it to their dogs, it's weird.

I know in high school some people used to use it and it worked. Cherry/Strawberry for red and Lemonade for gold...I think it depends on your hairtype...but I guess it's worth the try.
