I relate mostly to Job (not in holiness, but in trials), the fact his suffering was ongoing and a mystery to those around him. Nobody could help him or cure him and he felt a total outsider to others and all the advice and council he was given came no nought and at times increased his misery. NOthing was of much comfort to him and he felt that God had rejected him.
What I love about Jesus/God is that so often the people who were chosen in the bible were flawed and very human.

Well, I try to follow Jesus because he's the model. I don't feel I can personally relate to him however, him being the Son of God. I feel I have a close friendship and relationship with him. But I can't feel what he must have felt, being the Son of God.
In the Bible? Probably?? Hmmm, good question.
Probably King David from the Hebrew Scriptures, or Peter / Simon from the Greek Scriptures.

Although his mention in the Bible is brief I love John the Baptist.
He was just on fire for Christ... and nothing that the world was going to do would deter him.
He also said "He must increase, I must decrease" (John 3) and I try to live by that each day.

I am glad that you said everyday people, that eliminates Jesus.
He was not an everyday person.
My favorite is Paul, and I would love to have the effective witnessing that Paul had.
I do witness, but Paul could just talk to the Emperor's jailer and he accepts Christ.

please dont judge me ok?? I can relate to Rahab, the prostitute, because even though she had her faults, she helped the Lord, and she admitted she was human and loved sex! She was also smart enough to do what she liked and get paid for it. She wasn't guilty,it was a business transaction, for services rendered. Also,I can relate to Mary Magdalen. She loved the Lord and was his favorite woman. Good call, her!.

Paul. He was doing just about as bad as possible with his whole killing-Christians deal, yet he eventually became one of the greatest and important prophets of the new testament.

I can relate to Pual when he said "that which I do I do not allow it, for what would, that I do not; but what I hat, that do I". I hope I can make as much of an impact on our world as he has on our Church.

well, i feel like the children of isreal...why...because of the works God performed in their lives....the obstacles He got them through...the deliverance He gave to them......He's done mighty great things in my life like He did theirs.....He's showed up and showed out in my life, right when it seemed there was no way out and my back was against the wall....just like He did for them.......
God Bless and this was a great question you posted
Happy New Year
