Is it possible it will eventually come off if I dispute the item over and over? The creditor never sent me validation of the debt, but when I receive my results after disputing, it says that the creditor provided information to the bureau and it remains on my credit

You can continue to dispute it directly with the company, but if they've already settled the dispute it won't change. Your next step is to contact your state/local Attorney General's office. Fill out a complaint form and they will contact the company and begin to mediate to try and use their own resources to get your point across. However, they cannot FORCE the company to take off the disputed item, as they are a mediation service.

Wait a while and then do it again. Holiday times is good time. The longer time elapses the better the chance because often the creditor loses your paperwork in the shufle or do not want to spend emplyee time on finding it.
