Without going to the gym.

You can't spot reduce. To lose weight from your thighs and upper arms, you have to lose weight overall.

You can lose inches from those areas though by working out. You can do this at home without going to the gym, and with a minimal amount of equipment. You can do leg exercises without any equipment and you need just a few weights to do the arm exercises. Invest in a weight training book for women. The Dummies series of books actually has a fairly good one.

Walk, walk, walk. Park farther away. Use stairs. Eat a healthy diet - no junk food, fast food, soda, fruit juices (too many calories). Drink plenty of water. Record your food and exercise so that you are certain about what you are eating and how many calories you are burning in exercise.

Best of luck with it.

You lose weight where you last gained it....beyond that there is no targeted way to remove a certain area of fat unless you choose surgery. Cardio is a good idea, paired with some form of resistance training it works even better, you can use your own body weight in many cases to offer resistance eg. push ups, pull ups. Resistance training being a good idea since added muscle mass burns more calories and in the case of upper arms might in some fashion firm up an arm or a leg prior to fat loss. Consulting a doc is a good idea before hand. Be well.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

it's already been stated but you can't spot reduce fat stores. women are genetically predispositioned to store fat in different areas then men, such as the upper thighs, upper arms and chest. normally the first place to store fat will be the last to go in terms of fat loss.

you will have to lose body fat all over your body to see significant loses of fat in your trouble areas. circuit training combined with a healthy balanced diet is the best route for long term health benefits...

Push-ups. you can start out by doing them from your knees if your not strong enough. just make sure you stretch before and after any exercises. Its alwayse good to do some breathwork before. ie, jumping jacks or run in place to get your heartrate up. And its not good for the heart before if you do toe touches. Keep the head above the heart.

Cardio will aid in losing the fat, but then if you want to tone those areas up light weight will do the trick. Good luck!!!
