Basic Symptoms: pain on urination, fever, frequency of urination, urine dark colored (sometimes looks like old tea), urine may smell badly, and occasionally pain in bladder area.
Long Term Effects - If you leave a urinary tract infection untreated you can get a musch worse infection that hurts alot, it could spread up to your kidneys where infections leave scars that damage kidney function. The worst result is that the infection can overwhelm your system, becoming a blood infection called sepsis. Sepsis generally causes shock, and then if untreated death.
Treatment for a urinary tract suspicion or confirmation?? Drink tons of clean water to flush the system. Take tylenol for fever and pain, and drink PURE cranberry juice (not cocktail), and then if no success get antibiotics.
