Who cares... My husband is full Filipino and I am Mestiza (Filipino/White). Our first son looks completely Filipino w/o a trace of white; however our second son looks Mestizo (mix of Filipino and White). Then there is our 3rd who has a mix of both me and my husband. What exactly is your concern?

If the question is why cant you tell that the baby is white, is because the baby took after her father instead of her mother. My husband is dark and Im white, my daughter is almost as dark as her father.

My teacher in 6th grade was a mix of her African-American father, and her Causcion mother. She was teased by that, and told us a very important and valuable lesson. Color does not matter. What matters is what is behind that color.
