Australian (so conversion price would be different) 1 adult 2 kids. I spend about $80 a week. We have no take away I make it all myself from scratch, so lot's of veggies fruit and small amounts of milk. I make our own cakes etc. most of the time.
Income $450ish a week
expences, well thats harder. About $200 for rent and petrol a week and $20 to electricity and same to gas per week. Phone bill comes in monthly about $40. Insurances for car, contents and life insurance is around $70 a month. then after school activties are around$130. Then you have all the things like school fees (and all those bits and pieces you need for school) clothes, shoes etc. Then when gas and electricity bills come I sometimes still owe some on them. Then maitanance on the car and food for animals.
Okay now I'm depressed seeing how much goes out LOL
Just read the other answers and I'm guessing food must be cheaper in some countries. My $80 a week is considered very very little here (at least by all the people I know they spend $150-200 a week)

Myself, a 9 month old baby, and my husband, a large Italian man with a hearty appetite. I shop every 2 weeks and spend about $150 each time. But I shop at wal-mart because they are cheap, buy generic when I can, and use coupons only for the things I would buy anyway. Also Wal-Mart matches any other store's ads, so I get all the weekly sales in one place.
We do not live paycheck to paycheck and that is still all I spend. I only buy what we need.

Well, my husband is in the military and we get about $1150 every two weeks. We have a 10 month old daughter. I am pretty good with the grocery shopping and try to do as much prep and cooking as I can to save us from having to buy too many "convenience" items at the grocery store. I think we spend about $250-300 a month, including baby food and her snacks!

just the 2 of us - we spend about $350 on all groceries/food. $100 more if we eat out once a week. We no longer work, so no income, and are just "comfortable"

5 people, 1 dog, neighborhood kids eating over often, we spend about $1,000 a month on food and drinks.
$200 a week grocery shopping, 4 weeks a month = $800
Plus I'd guess an extra $200 ordering pizza sometimes, or going to fast food sometimes, or going back for extra sodas/milk/bread and that kind of thing.
That includes papertowels, toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.

Our household income is like $50,000 (I think) and we spend about a hundred or whatever we have to spend! It is hard. My husband works and I stay at home with the kids. We live paycheck to paycheck!
