Hasn't he committed sins far greater than those of which I am capable? I have not unleashed a flood, killing the entire planet's population save for a handful of people who worship me unquestioningly. I have not asked a man to sacrifice his son to prove his loyalty to me. I have not tormented another man, causing his family and property to be destroyed, solely so I could prove to someone that the man would remain devoted to me.

So why should my sins be forgiven by him?!?

I guess my one thumbs up won't balance the "down," but I did it anyway. Clearly, only Christians are on on this question. Not very informative. gloria h--GOD didn't die on the cross, unless we're now back into the "trinity" again, to which someone illogically said, Jesus isn't god, the holy spirit is god, & Jesus is the holy spirit--therefore...Hello? Plus white dove--the question WASN'T about hating god. It's a perfectly logical question! It's all right there. Prove your devotion/adoration or perish. What an "ungodly" ego! "Sin" is also very subjective. Different religions & cultures consider different things to be "sins." INDIVIDUAL MORALITY is the key. (Controversial, too.) Interesting that gods were not always "patriarchal." I ask for no forgiveness from anyone; I am not a "sinner." If I do anything thoughtlessly, that might "hurt" someone, I would want only clarification, not "forgiveness." REPENT. REPENT. Repent what?

There is a difference between sin and judgment.
Sin is derived from a Greek word meaning to miss the mark.
A man or woman living a sinful life have missed the mark that God has set for mankind.
It is sin that separates from GOD.
Asking HIS forgiveness and accepting the Lord Jesus Christ are the first steps to reconciliation with GOD.

You bring up some great points. Didn't God sin by doing those things, which are far worse than the little sins we commit? No because God is God and we are not. We as humans don't have the capacity to understand all of God's reasons. "My ways are higher than your ways".You obviously have some religious background, so you know that God and heaven are perfect and sinless, which is why our sins need to be forgiven. As sinners, we cannot be in the presence of God. So God, not wanting to be apart from any one of us, came in the form of Man to take the punishment for our sins. He died so that YOU and I could go to heaven!

God is God. He is sinless. Your writing depicts wrong ideas confusing you, ideas planted into your subsconciousness by evil.

If you read the Bible you will find your reasons. If you read the Book of John & Romans in the New Testament (New King James Version) you will find all the answers you seek.

Once you are truly a born again Christian, your sins will have been forgiven past, present and future. You will still sin, of course that is why we need to confess our sins to maintain a fellowship with our Lord.

If I am your son or daughter, you have already forgiven me because you love me? But if you love me and say I am sorry when I make a mistake (sin) I feel your fellowshipping (is restored). How do you feel when someone who has wronged you comes to you someday and says "I am sorry". You show compassion and accept his apologies. If he or she really meant he or she is sorry they would live it.

Besides, sin is one of the reasons Jesus died for you. Sin cannot be in heaven, as God is holy. Your sins will find you out and if you belong to the Lord just confess them. You will feel better.

Many people are intellectualizing too much of everything that is bad or good.

You either accept Jesus into your heart intellectually and go to hell, or accept Jesus into your heart with your heart and go to heaven.

Obviously you have a very limited working knowledge of the Bible. What you lack is true understanding of the nature of God. Your illustrations are simply part of a perfect plan of a perfect God. You do not have to be forgiven by God, but there is a consequence to that choice.

Chose as you will, ask for forgiveness and live eternally in God's love or don't and live eternally in torment.

God is not forcing you to do either.

You need not to seek the forgiveness of a higher power, but seek the forgiveness with in yourself.

If that didn't make sense, I will explain it this way, if you told a religious man the was no god, it would be much like telling a 4 year old there is no Santa; with that said, you must understand the conviction of a religious man that ignores scientific fact. If you are like me, a skeptic, you might just think of it this way; to not forgive yourself of what you have done wrong, you will create your personal hell, for if you have done wrong, you will be haunted by your own accord.

That's about as detailed as I can get. This is my best answer to you, and the only answer I see fit to tell you, I hope this helps.

If God sinned, He would be subject to death. He does not sin. It is the human mind that hates God and sins. After our life's work is complete (and that will be hereafter), then forgiveness will be a moment of many tears.

Who ever said you "must"?? You don't have to - you have free will, remember? God does not sin. The flood you speak of was for a very good reason - and in doing it, he showed an astounding amount of love for his children. Why? Check out Jude chapter one (the only chapter). There you will find out that when God put flesh man on earth, the decision was that each soul be born by woman through the bag of waters, into flesh man.
Some of Satans angels left their habitation in heaven, and came to earth not by birth thru woman, but simply came here as supernatural beings. They began to take flesh women for brides, and their offspring were called Geba, which translated means "giants". They were a large people. This was another attempt of satans to disrupt the lineage that from womb-to-womb, through the line of Adam, all the way to Mary herself, that bloodline must be kept pure, so that the Christ could come through it. Those angels were giving and taking in marriage right up to the time Noah was finished the Ark. Noah was a preacher, who at that time was preaching against these geba, the influx of abnomalies - So, Noah being well aware of what was taking place, made sure his family was kept from it. Thats why God chose Noah and his family. The flood was to destroy that influx of half-human, half angelic beings created. It was absolutely necessary so that the Christ could come through and be our salvation. God asking a man to sacrifice his son was a teaching to you and i, telling us how hard it is to give your own son, but that God the Father did give his only begotten Son for us, because he loves us that much. It was a teaching. The Book of Job is also a teaching - one of the most important of all:
Job was a rightious man - and blessed of God very richly -
If you read the whole story, Satan said to God "if only you would take away that hedge of protection you have around him, I could make him turn against you". The first teaching there is that we do have that hedge of protection around us, and it is fashioned of our faith and belief in Christ, and our good works. How strong is your hedge? Anyway, Job also teaches lots more - the first 37 chapters when Job is losing everything and in pain, etc.. he has some religious, real holier-than-thou friends come to visit him to tell him how he must have sinned, and to confess it to them -
blah blah blah for 37 chapters , and then in the 38th chapter God intervenes and says to Job: (my words, but accurate) Job, what are you listening to those unlearned idiots for? Listen to ME!!!!
The lesson here? Don't listen to man - listen to God. He wrote you a letter called the Bible - read it.
The Bible is full of teachings, and where you see wars or something that you feel seems unfair or mean of God, you need to look deeper, study harder, because you are missing something. God is a God of love, but he's no wimp,. and He is also a God of Vengence. He doens't like those who try to make his children stumble.
When he returns, it will be with a rod of iron for correction.
Now, you might say that you're not about to give your soul to any God like this one, but I have some sad news for you: God owns your soul already - you don't need to worry about giving it or not giving it to Him - and what he does with it will be fair based upon you. How ya doing ?

You walk on God's earth, Breathe God's air, Eat God's food and you sin against Him. He created the world and can do what He likes. You are very bold.

So, you accuse God. Amazing.

I pity you on the Day of Judgment when you face a holy (yes, holy, not sinful) God, and try to justify yourself to Him without the benefit of Christ's atonement upon you.
