I dont need to know how to make the meringue part, but I need to know if I can use the stuff right out of the can for a filling, or if I need to add anything to it?

What you're going to find is that the pudding won't hold up very well because it isn't stiff enough. Here's the filling recipe that I use and it's a crowd pleaser and easy, Enjoy
Lemon Meringue Pie Filling

5 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons grated lemon peel
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 tablespoon butter
3 large egg yolks, beaten
1 1/2 cups water, boiling
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust

Preheat oven to 350°F.
In the top of a double boiler combine cornstarch and 1 cup sugar. Add lemon peel, lemon juice, butter and beaten egg yolks; mix well. Slowly add boiling water. Cook on top of a double boiler over hot water until thick. Remove from heat and let cool.
Bake unbaked pie shell for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
Lower oven temperature to 300°F.
Pour the cooled lemon mixture into pie crust; set aside while you make your Merangue, top the pie and bake like you would.

If it is Lemon pie filling (like pudding), you don't need anything at all. Just pour in the baked pie shell. Enjoy!

Yes, but I usually use 2 cans or close. Pour it right into the baked pie shell and continue as usually.
