I am 5'2 and weigh 140 which is overweight on my short frame. Is it still possible for me to get pregnant just as easily as a thin person?

Of course you can. Exercise and a healthy diet does help your chances though. Good luck!!

It is, but it's not the safest way to start a pregnancy. Extra weight can cause complications, so if you haven't started trying yet, I'd try to lose the extra pounds first so you're on the right track when you do get pregnant. Discuss your options with your doctor or midwife and make a plan that will work for you.

You can get pregnant just as easily as a skinny chick. There are risk though like gestational diabetes and high blood pressure. As long as you eat healthy and are on a great diet during pregnancy you'll be great. Good luck I am very happy for you!

i am 5' even

i was 115 when i concived #1 (took a year and a half)
I was 125 when i concived #2 (5 weeks after having 1st)
i was 145 when i concived #3 (about 14 weeks after having 2nd)
I was 176 when i concived #4 (took a month after trying)(4 years after 3rd) (i'm now 23 weeks preg and weigh 160, i got down to 150 before i started going back up)

it depends on how and wear you have the weight (mines all in the boobs) and your general health other than the weight. visit your Ob/gyn for a prepregnacy check up to make sure your body is AOK for pregnacy and to get on to prenatal vitamins ( its good to take prenats before you get preggo too)

I am 5"4' and weighed 149lbs when I was trying to get pregnant. I didn't look big, but I felt big... and it took well over a year trying to conceive. It wasn't until I lost 9 lbs and went down to 140 that I finally found out I was pregnant. Was it the weight loss or the lowered stress levels due to exercising??? I donno, but it definitely worked out better for me.

Your weight shouldn't be an issue at all. If you do get pregnant, make sure that you stay active and eat healthy. You will do just great! Good Luck!!!

I had no difficulties at all with my last two pregnancies and I was definitely classified as overweight. Best of luck!

Yes.
You just need to keep your weight gain on the low end.
Be sure to walk, walk, walk during your pregnancy.

Good luck.
