i have people coming over shortly and need to make some kind of crab dip ASAP/ have crab and cream cheese, what else do I need?

this one is easy and quick
pack crab chopped
1 pack cr. cheese
1 cup mayo
1 cup parm chz
red pepper
black pepper
mix all together
bake in sm casserole w/ more parm on top at 425 until brown
it is also good to add a can of artichokes
serve w/ wheat thins

CRAB MEAT DIP

2 7 oz. cans crab meat
1 8 oz. package cream cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1 tablespoon Worcestershire
1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
dash of cayenne pepper
salt to taste
3 cloves garlic, pressed

Soften cream cheese and combine with mayonnaise, sour cream, Tabasco, Worcestershire, cayenne, salt, garlic and Old Bay seasoning.
Stir in crab meat. Taste and adjust seasoning.

Make a few hours ahead and refrigerate.

Serve with potato chips, crackers, tortillas, etc.

Easiest way is :
cut crab into chunks, soften cream cheese, mix it together, season with salt & pepper, lemon juice and some chilli flakes ( i like it with a kick) very simple dip like this but neat. Make sure you serve it at room temp to prevent the cheese for harden again. Or you can add some milk to soften it up

Cheesy Crab Dip
1 pound crab meat
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Mix all ingredients together except crab meat. Gently fold in crab meat. Pour into a casserole dish and bake for 20 minutes at 325 degrees. Serve with crackers.

Very Easy Crab Dip

INGREDIENTS
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (8 ounce) jar cocktail sauce
3/4 pound imitation crabmeat
DIRECTIONS
In a medium bowl, blend the cream cheese and cocktail sauce. Cut the imitation crabmeat into small pieces and combine it with the mixture. Refrigerate 3 hours before serving.

Serves 28

I make this dip alot..

take your crab, and chop it small peices, then stir together with the cream cheese.. and then if u have chives then slice them small and add it in there.. It is really yummy.. (if u dont have chives, then mince part of an oinin, and put it in there.

8 ounces sour cream
8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
crabmeat
chopped fresh parsley

put it all in a bowl & mix with electric mixer

Artichoke hearts, garlic, shredded cheese, cream cheese, a little mayo and crushed red pepper. Mix it, season to taste, baked and serve with chips, crackers, bread etc. Good Luck!

You may just want to try melting the butter and serving it in a dipping dish!
