There is no correct answer - the majority are probably on Saturday, but I've been to weddings on Friday evenings with a cocktail reception, weddings on Sunday morning with a brunch after or even a full scale wedding in Mexico on a Wednesday. It all depends on which suits you and your hubby-to-be best, There can be financial benefits to having your wedding on an "off" day.

There is no certain day that you have to or should have a wedding on. I got married exactly one year that I got engaged. That way, it was a date that meant something to the both of us. In my case though, it was on a Thursday at 4:00 p.m. This would be unlikely in big weddings but we got married at City Hall. Most weddings take place on Saturday's. I suggest a Sunday where it would be cheaper. Summer weddings are also more expensive. Most people are off on the weekends so that is why more weddings are held at this time.

Personally, I had to have my wedding on a Sunday at 11:00 a.m. It is the only day of the week that NO ONE in my family had a problem with. Many worked on Saturday and wouldn't be able to attend. Those that are Catholic were able to go to an early mass and make it to my wedding. My wedding was protestant.

Most wedding seem to be held on Saturday - afternoon or evening - My daughter's was evening and it went on and on and they had a early flight the next morning - they were worn out.
Your day can be of your choice - I know a lot of people in big cities are doing Sunday afternoons to get the places they need. It boils down to what is good for you and the families.

Growing up it seem like every one got married on a saturday, all my older cousins did. I guess most people do it on saturday so you can enjoy the day/evening, with out thinking about leaving early because of work the next day. If your taking off just the 2 of you, to Vegas or any where like that. It doesnt matter really what day because its just going to be the 2 of you. Well what ever to pick, best wishes to you both....

Saturday is the most popular, because most people aren't working. You will find things A LOT cheaper if you hold in on another day of the week. Change it to Friday, and you could save thousands of dollars.

Alot of people prefer a Friday, but Saturdays are better for
all. We had Saturday morn to get the little things taken
care of and the girls got to talk. Fridays-people seems
so tired from working all week. When my daughter got
married we chose Saturday and everyone seems satisfied.
