It depends on what you mean by getting out of the house...like hanging out with your friends or something?
Just say that you are
- goin on a walk (or to the gym)
- goin to a friends house to work on a school project

say you're going to the movies and out to eat with a friend or friends. it always works on my mom.... especially when i tell her we're going to a movie like 2 towns over where there is also a better mall.
