A very cheap one is to use the oven in your stove.
set the temp about 200 deg. and leave the door open about 3 inches. put the items you want dehidrated in the racks on a screen and watch untill desired drieness is obtained. about 2-6 hours.
My grandmother and dad has done this for as long as I can remimber.
