Hello. Does anyone know about straight perms? I have a few questions:

1. Does it make your hair perfectly straight? I have hair that isn't quite staright and isn't quite wavy, so will it stay straight even if I sleep with it wet?
2. How much do they cost, at a salon?
3.Is it more damaging to straighten my hair everyday with an iron, or is it more damaging to get it chemically straightened?
4. How long does it last?
5. If you had one, did you like it?
I don't like to wear my hair down unless it is perfectly straight, so I want to get a straight perm.
Thanks.

it's overrated and styling (flat iron, or at least blow out) is still necessary. I't a harsh chemical and either way, you are damaging your hair and it will only get worse. learn to love your natural hair. their are great products out there these days to eliminate friz etc.

Yes if done correctly it will make your hair perfectly straight. It will also reduce frizz (though not completely eliminate it). As far as sleeping with it wet - no. When you sleep with it wet, it kinks up and gets waves/frizz from the pillow. Sleeping with it wet is not recommended.

2. How much do they cost, at a salon?

Depends on the length of your hair. Call your salon and ask.

3.Is it more damaging to straighten my hair everyday with an iron, or is it more damaging to get it chemically straightened?

*sigh* I'm struggling with this myself. When I had my hair chemically straightened years ago, I loved it. The only reason I haven't had it done again is my hair is more damaged now and I'm afraid it will totally fry.

4. How long does it last?

It depends on how fast your hair grows and how wavy/curly your hair is. If your hair doesn't have much wave/curl to it, your straigtening should last quite a while.

5. If you had one, did you like it?

I really loved it. I will probably get it done again soon. Just remember, it damages your hair the same way a perm would. Also, it leaves your hair flat. Consider getting some layers cut into your hair (if you don't already have them) so your hair doesn't look flat and limp.

it would want to in no way bypass thoroughly instantly. also, they recommend that you do not wash your hair for 3 to 5 days when you get a perm. i imagine you spent way too a lot on your perm, and from what you're saying it did not even artwork.

1.I have friends who get perms all the time and yes it does make there hair straight, but they're black so if you get a perm it will most likely curl your hair.
2.I think that range from $40 to maybe $90
3.I really don't know
4.It depends on what kind of perm you get-if you get a permanent perm it will last about 3 months even if you wash it, but you will have to get it redone eventually,If you get the other kind of perm, it will last until you get it wet or wash it,so i advise you not to get it wet at all even if it is humid outside.
5.never had one

yes it make your hair perfectly straight It cost you about 60.00 to 70.00 if you want the perm and you wnt them to curl your hair but notice if you don't take care of your hair it would fall out or get all the perm out of your hair.
