Fever = infection
If there is no obvious source of infection, a blood test will usually be needed.

some of the reasons the fever returns without the flu like symtoms are. if u were taking meds, for the fever u didnt take them long enough. the infection has not been cleared up in ur system, so it returns.take ur meds as dr ordered, even if u feel better. and u can also get the germs from the same person, place, or thing. wash ur hands very often, an drink plenty of fluids.but if it doesnt go away within 10 days, see ur dr, he may have to up the dosege. god bless

People with some forms of arthritis have recurring fevers.
