No dogs should not eat onions, it causes internal hemorrhaging and so does onion. If you care about the dog, you should not give onions.

My counter surfing dog ate a whole onion when he was a 6 month old puppy, Onions can cause severe gastric distress, Diahrea and cramping, and shouldnt be feed to an animal on purpose.

onions,tomatoes grapes chocalate are among some very toxic foods for dogs and the toxins build up to eventualy KILL the dog you want more advice ask your VET and dont listen to people with half a brain.

from what I have heard in the past, if dogs eat onions it will thin their blood and possibly kill them
