I have worked for 2 large chocolate companies. I like both, but I find that dark is actually a better seller then milk, so if you were buying it for guests, dark is probably the way to go. Either way whether its milk or dark, just try to get good quality chocolate. It makes such a difference.

Dark but will settle for milk chocolate if it's the only kind available.

Dark chocolate is better for you. Milk chocolate is most popular though because it is sweeter. White chocolate is my favorite but everyone has their own taste.

I prefer dark. It's more chocolatey, and you need less to get your chocolate fix. Most milk chocolate tastes waxy to me now.
