I recently started talking to an old schoolmate of mine. Back then, he liked me alot but we were never more than friends. Recently, we started talking online & on the phone. A couple of times over the past few months, he's made plans to see me but ends up bailing with no explanation. I don't question him about it because I'm not going to nag. About two weeks ago, he planned on coming down for the holidays and again wanted to get together. He basically said he wanted to see me a couple of times but I heard nothing from him until last night. He said he's leaving to go back home on Thursday and wants to hang out on Thursday. He wants to hang out the day he's leaving! I didn't expect him to see me for a whole time or anything but to me, it sounds crappy that he wants to hang out with me on his way out of town. I'm leaning towards blowing him off like he's done to me. No explanation, nothing. Is this a good idea or should I just be nice, let him slide with the no show thing and go?

I guess I should also add that he claims he still really likes me. He's made comments about us being together so I'm not sure how to read his actions vs what he says. Actions speak louder, I know.

Actions do speak volumes more than words. Blow the whole thing off and keep casual. If he asks why, then say "I thought thats what we do when we make plans, not follow through." Move on to someone else, he doesn't know what he wants.

You know what ,,,, There are allot of fish in the pond so to speak ,,,, You need this guy like you need another hole in the head ,,,, There are plenty of guys out there that are fun and exciting to be with and come trouble and problem free ,,, It's time for you to go fishing and find one ,,,, This guy that keeps not showing up or can't keep his word is a jerk and he's not worth your time and effort ,,,,, If a guy can't keep his word then he shouldn't commit to anything ,,,, Worst case scenario he could leave his bride standing alone at the alter because of his no show habit ,,,, He's a jerk ,,,, and I wouldn't put my life on hold waiting for him were I you ,,,, Find some one that's willing to treat you the way you think you should be treated ,,,,,, They are out there ,,,, All you have to do is just look ,,,, Yoda told you this ,,,, Good luck ,,,,,,

Men like this are flippin wimps! I don't get them or what there motives r. Im sorry but if someone really wants to be with u he will move mountains for u. Dont you want a man who wants u no matter what? For all the right reasons? Even when u look your worst have no makeup on and r in ur sweats? Someone that will tackle u on the bed and tell you how much he loves u. I've been fortunate enough to have had that in my life in the past and its near impossible for me to understand and even more so have compassion for these types of men. Trust me if u want to be happy make a list of what u want in a guy and if its 80 percent what u want u got a deal! This situation is a DEAL BREAKER actually no there is no deal cause he doesn't know how to be a good man and want u :)

Just be straight up with this guy and tell him you would like to see him before he leaves for home and ask him why he has bailed on you so many times. It may be that he is afraid of the unknown or he is afraid that once he meets up with you, you will hit it off and get along really well and that will make it even harder for him to leave. Just be honest and tell him how you feel.

out of all the things he could do on the last day of his vacation, he wants to hang out with you. that is kind of a sign i think.... its a little known fact that if you are in a group of people and someone is leaving, the last person they say bye to is the person they are most interested in.

Have a coffee with him, nothing more. If he wants to see you again, the ball is definitely in his court. He needs to pull the finger out.

If he isn't gonna make the effort to see you, then tell him to forget it...
