Females have an uncanny instinct to heal. Thus speaking openly to as many folks as she can, even lambasting the ex will help her heal.
Secondly, women want to share (it's their nature) and in so doing help others who're in similar circumstances, also heal and wise up.
Why don't guys do it? That's easy -- their ego is so bloody big that admitting to all such episodes would make him look foolish. And you and I know that no man EVER will stand for looking foolish! TOUCHE

Well, there are a whole lot of females who DON'T do that...but I suspect that the ones who do, are seeking sympathy and to commeriserate with others in the same position. Misery loves company, ya know.

Well if you don't know it yet..you should. Women are alot more verbal than men. They like to express themselves in any way, shape,form. Maybe you would still be in a relationship had you been able to communicate a little more effectively. Yeah! Right back in your face. ;)

Maybe they are epressing their feelings. Like a journal. because getting it out is better than keeping it in and going crazy.
I think that if you don't like it then just don't look. Or just not be one of the men who hurt women.
