Moles can grow as one gets older, and it is usually not a serious problem (although they can be a cosmetic one). Still, any change in the size of a mole should be checked out with your doctor, especially if the mole appears to have changed shape, color, or develop irregular borders. You may want to consider surgical removal of the mole if it is a problem for you. It will leave a scar, but such scars are often less pronounced than the mole itself. There is also the chance that the mole can grow back. There is no need to panic or rush to the doctor, but you should discuss this with him as soon as possible.

The rule of thumb on any "mole" on any place of your body is, if it changes shape or color you need to get it checked. Moles do not normally change.
