after we die? No matter what we believe or how sure we think we are, we do NOT know. What if we really are fighting and killing each other and there is no "creator" to care?
Please don't quote the Bible or the Koran, they're only books.

To what David said about people who have seen lights before being resuscitated: Even if there is a creator, we don't know what s/he or it has in mind. We don't know if it's a Western view or one more in tune with reincarnation, or if it punishes and rewards or is passive.
It's not a bad answer, I'm just pointing out things.

Why is it so hard? because people don't want to believe that their life might have been futile. Everyone wants to believe that they will be remembered on into eternity. It's easier for the family when a loved one dies to think they have gone to a "wonderful" place with all the good things they may not have had in life. Look at all the statues of "great" leaders in all the cities of the world. Few people even know who they were and even fewer people would remember them if there wasn't a statue for the pigeon to crap on. Though I sound like a cynic, I'm not. My present and future are well secured.

Bekkie: You have not read the Bible. To say it is only a book proves you know nothing about it. "Gone With the Wind" is only a book. "The Wizard of Oz" is only a book. The Encyclopedia is only a book.
I hear God's voice. He tells me to "park here." He puts words in my mouth that I know did not come from me. He wakes me at 3:00 a.m. to pray, to speak to me. One word from Him and you have the greatest hunger and thirst for the next word. He pulls Scripture from my mind that I can't even remember putting in my memory.
He'll show me a verse to explain why something happened. Isaiah 30:25 And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters IN THE DAY OF THE GREAT SLAUGHTER, WHEN THE TOWERS FALL.
This was an appeal to the children of Israel to turn to the Lord for help and not turn away from the Lord as America is doing now. Israel is our example. Whatever happened to Israel will happen to America. What awaits us is exactly what is written in the Bible, not the Koran, the Bible. The Creator does not want us fighting and killing each other. The Bible says He'll return and put a stop to it.
You have eyes to see, but you can't see. You have ears to hear, but you can't hear. Why is it so hard for you to admit there is a Creator who is Almighty God and Jesus Christ our Lord?

No one knows about his life after the decomposition of his body, therefeore, he must seek the answer from the divine Educators.
Nowhere do the Educators advocate killing, but They call for sacrifice in the service of all mankind.
Otherwise, people will keep on killing (not only with weapons, but with all sorts of lies and tricks) to enjoy the pleasures which are not available after death.

The best way to answer this is to ask people who have died, and medically been brought back to life. I read that if you have no brain waves, you are dead, dead, dead.
All that talk about it report seeing a bright light, floating out of their bodies toward the light, meeting people on the other side of the light, being pulled back to their bodies when the doctors revive them.
Especially small children who have no knowledge of religion.'
We fight and kill over land and oil. We say it is for freedom and religion.

Sorry hun. It just comforts people to think that this isn't it. The magnitude of nothing awaiting us after death is too terrifying for some, and therefore, we build a belief structure that allows us to think that maybe there's something else. It's just a comfort food.

That is true. We can only "know" by faith, and faith is not science. Therefore, if we were truly honest the only thing that any of us could truly honestly say is that we don't know for sure. I have faith in the Hebrew God, and I hope in the resurrection...but I don't know for sure, nor can I provide absolute proof. If I could their would be no atheists or agnostics.
