Not sure how you do the salt & vinegar kind, but when I want a different twist to my popcorn I add these seasonings to them, but not all at one time, though. Try shaking a little of these ingredients on them sometimes:
chili powder
seasoned salt
taco seasoning (package)
parmesan cheese
hot sauce
garlic powder or garlic salt
powdered cheese (the packet from boxed macaroni & cheese)
I hope you find a flavor that you like. Just experiment.

If you take the powdered cheese packet from the macaroni box, sprinkle some of that over some popcorn, that is usually good! They sell some popcorn seasoning. I think its Lawrey's Seasoning. Look in your grocery store for it.

Melt 1/2 stick butter, stir in 2 tbsp lime juice (about half a lime) and 1/2 tsp. chili powder (or more), toss with popcorn (one microwave bag's worth), very tasty. Add a little salt if you're using unsalted butter.

I don't know about toppings, but we always buy a box of goobers at the theatre and mix it with our popcorn. The sweet chocolate mixed with the salty popcorn is soooo good.

garlic salt, seasoning salt like what people put on their fries, cheese packets, I think pizza hut gives those out when their pizzas, we have a mess of them here at my house, at our movie theaters there is a stand that we can take seasons and put on our popcorn that we get, or put our own melted cheese or butter on it you might take alook at those seasonings if you go to the movies if they have that stand and get some ideas.
