Wine can be still (no carbonation) or sparkling (carbonated). If the wine is sparkling like champagne then shaking it only wastes wine and removes the carbonation suddenly. If the wine is a still wine you may or may not want it chilled, whites and blushes are usually served chilled. They do not need to be decanted (poured from the bottle into a serving container) and let set for a while before serving. Reds are not usually chilled and may be opened and let set for an hour or so to "Breathe" they may be decanted to speed this process. Wine has usually been stored for long periods of time and sediment may have collected in the bottle, shaking only disturbs this and may make the wine cloudy. The sediment more than likely will not affect the taste but is not desirable. Part of the enjoyment of wine is the color, fragrance, and of course taste. Price has very little to do with "good or bad" wine. It is a matter of your personal taste.

no. it won't improve the taste.
uncork the bottle for about 15 minutes before serving,
and cross your fingers that it doesn't taste like vinegar.
since you are asking about shaking wine.

No. I never hear that recommended before. I think if its not a sparkling wine then shaking it wouldn't do anything anyway.

Hi. Never shake it up. When you are ready to open the bottle, roll it between your hands for a few seconds.

No! Wine is like soda pop. You shake it up and it will loose soe of its flavor. It's not like orange juice where it settles.
