I Just don't understand how many Christians can refer to him as God when never does he say he is God. But it also doesn't make sense because in the Bible he says the father and I are one. So is Jesus God or not?

Jesus is God, the son of The God. The meaning of the father and I are one is this. If you had a son and you sent him to do something on your behalf, he is representing you, and thus the the Father and I are one. What the Father is authorized to do so does the son. You and your son would have the same power, obligation to finish your work and so does the Father the God, and the Son the God. Is that helpful! I hope.

Happy New Year one and ALL

Jesus is God.

God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Still with me?

The Father is NOT the Son. The Son is NOT the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is NOT the Father.

But they are all God.

Take a look at this diagram:

Therefore, the Son was praying to the Father... seperate persons, one divine Godhead.

Why would he call God his father if he were also God. The bible does quote where Jesus tells his followers that he and God are one, but if u keep reading in the 14th chapter of John , he explains that he is in union with the Father and the diciples are in union with him and he is in union with them. 1 Corinthians chap 12 and verses 12- 31 show how the entire group of christians make up one body, they serve the same purpose even though they're different people with different skills and responsibilities.

Jesus is a part of the Godhead consisting of, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. All three are a part of God, but have different functions. God the Father is Spirit, God the Son, Jesus, was God in the flesh and God the Holy Spirit serves as comforter, convictor and teacher.

calling Jesus, God, is a piece of a puzzle that don't belong in the Bible. Take out that piece and you will enjoy the beauty of the Bible's message. Keep it in there and you will never get to know God.

Satan is the one that would like us to stop learning about God and His purpose, so adding pieces of puzzle that don't belong there has turned many away from the Bible.

Jesus is God incarnate - who came to Earth for the redemption of man.

When He prays, He prays to His Father in Heaven.

Jesus is part of the Holy Trinity, a Godhead of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

He is God. The Trinity has three parts to it, God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. They are all God, but all ONE God. It is VERY difficult to explain, and I have not met anyone who could explain it greatly. Jesus, therefore, prayed to God the Father. When he is talking to "Father" he is talking to God the Father. Look up the Trinity online or something, I don't think I provided the best explanation. Good luck.

In Buddhism, we are all God and God is all of us, so maybe Jesus was a Buddhist but the damn Christians kidnapped him and perverted his message that only he is God. If he really thought that only himself and God were the same person, I would suggest an egomaniac was running loose. So in answer to your question, yes Jesus was God but so are you and even the people that will condemn me for typing this are also God. And since I am also God, I bless you:-)
